About Us

Marion Wings & Wheels Inc., a (501c3) non-profit, is celebrating its fifth anniversary September 14, 2019. We have enjoyed the community’s support for the past four years and it inspires us to continue for our fifth year.

The purpose of our fly-in is to introduce aviation, and science-technology-engineering-math, to the youth of our community by providing free airplane rides, courtesy of the Experimental Aircraft Association (E.A.A.) membership, through the E.A.A.’s “Young Eagles” program (https://www.eaa.org/youngeagles).

Your sponsorship will allow our event to bring history to life and illustrate where careers in S.T.E.M. might lead. With your help we will bring the C.A.F. Red Tail Squadron (www.redtail.org), vintage aircraft, WWII aircraft and current military aircraft to our municipal airport. And, continue offering a variety of aircraft rides. These are the kind of exhibits that attract families. In 2018 we had 7000 attendees and flew 500 people.

Our capitalization goal for 2019 is $30,000.00. Last year’s feature exhibit, NASA’s “Journey To Tomorrow” and two NASA astronauts cost a little over $15,000.00. If you can budget $1,000.00, or more, you will be in good company and instrumental in making this year’s event a success.  Please, make a commitment as soon as possible so commitments can be made to secure exhibits and exhibitors for our September 14, 2019 fly-in.

Will you be the inspiration behind the first person who steps onto Mars?

Thank-you for your past and future contributions!
